🐷 Gus Gus & Marlboro: From Fragile Beginnings to Full-Bellied Joy

ree

It’s hard to believe that just three months ago, Gus Gus and Marlboro were orphaned newborn piglets—barely days old, fragile, and fighting for their place in this world. Today, they are loud, playful, apple-loving bundles of energy... and they’ve fully claimed their space (and volume level!) here at Pleasant Pasture.

These two began their journey with round-the-clock bottle feedings, snuggled in blankets and tucked into heated crates. Every few hours, they called out for milk—and we were there. Sleep-deprived, yes, but full of hope.

Their barn presence is... unmistakable. When we walk in, they erupt with such joyful, thunderous squeals that even the cats and cattle head for quieter pastures. It’s their way of saying ā€œWe see you! We love you! Feed us now, please!ā€Ā And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

They chase each other, curl up together, nibble ears, wrestle in the straw, and explore the world with wide eyes and open hearts. Gus Gus is the braver one, Marlboro the more thoughtful—but their bond is unbreakable. Wherever one is, the other isn’t far behind.

The truth is simple but powerful: these two would not be alive if they were anywhere else. But because of you—your love, your donations, your belief in second chances—Gus Gus and Marlboro have not only survived, they’ve begun to thrive.

This is the kind of rescue work you make possible. Thank you for giving them the life they deserve. The boys still need monthly sponsors - can you help?
