Gentle Mike & Sir Bill: The Great Garage Sale Mystery

The day of the Pleasant Pasture Garage Sale was full of excitement.

Cars arrived. Volunteers laughed. Shoppers searched for treasures.

Gentle Mike knew exactly where he wanted to be.

Right in the middle of it all.

He greeted every visitor with a happy purr, rolled over for belly rubs, and soaked up every bit of attention. Children giggled, adults smiled, and everyone agreed that Mike was the official welcome committee.

Many visitors asked about the fluffy orange cat, but he was nowhere to be seen.

Mike finally went looking and found Sir Bill tucked beneath the biggest hosta plant on the farm. From his shady spot, he quietly watched the people come and go.

"You missed all the pets," Mike said.

Sir Bill blinked slowly.

"I didn't miss anything," he purred. "I just enjoyed the day in my own way."

Mike looked around and smiled.

He loved meeting everyone.

Both had spent a wonderful day.

As the sun set, the two friends rested together beneath the giant hosta.
