At Pleasant Pasture, family isnāt defined by DNAāitās defined by heart. But when you doĀ happen to share a bloodline with your barn buddy, well⦠it just adds a little extra sparkle (and snorting) to the bond.
Take our steer brothers for exampleāmassive, majestic, and unmistakably close. Whether itās grazing side by side in perfect synchronicity or resting shoulder to shoulder in the golden afternoon light, their rhythm together is undeniable. They communicate without speaking, defend each other without hesitation, and bicker over hay like two toddlers in the backseat. Sound familiar?
And then thereās the hog brothers. Oh, these boys. Equal parts cuddly and chaotic, theyāre often found snoozing in a perfect piggy pileāsnouts in the straw, tails twitching in contentment. One day, after a bit of a āwho gets the biggest watermelon sliceā disagreement, the two of them decided the only fair solution was to eat each otherāsĀ slices at the same time. Chaos. Grunting. A dramatic flop into the mud. And by dusk? They were snoring snout to snout again like nothing ever happened.
Their relationships are beautifully complexāprotective, playful, and full of emotion. We see it in the way they watch over each other during thunderstorms. We feel it when one becomes ill and the other wonāt leave his side. And we celebrate it every single day as a reminder that loveātrue, unconditional loveālives here in every pasture. Show some brotherly or sisterly love to these beautiful creatures with a special gift. Read more about brothers Moo Pups and Karl here.
